No quid pro quo exists in the coverage of this launch.Clustertruck is a chaotic physics based truckformer. More to come…stay tuned! For more information, visit. So if what I saw today is any indication of what’s to come, then I predict we’re about to see a significant paradigm shift on the culinary scene in Indianapolis. I’d compare ClusterTruck’s wide quantity of menu items to, oh, let’s say that of Cheesecake Factory. The photos here are just a tiny sample of the company’s extensive forthcoming menu, which will be available soon. In the meantime, it was intriguing to visit the company’s headquarters today and witness a very vibrant atmosphere with a lot of creative and intelligent thinking, planning, and strategizing going on among the participants. The official launch party is set for March 31, 2016. In my mind this service will be ideal for downtown businesses, office staff meetings, even perhaps for those who are getting off work and heading to their kids’ athletic events (and don’t have time to stop for dinner). In one sense, it is not unlike the typical pizza delivery model, except that ClusterTruck will offer a much wider variety of quality menu choices from pizza and tacos to salads to burgers and many more delicious specialty items–all cooked and prepared fresh after you order ONLINE, and then your order will be quickly delivered in the company’s delivery area–with free delivery, no less. The delivery service is managed by custom computer software that links available drivers to the online ordering system. There is no restaurant onsite you will order online and a driver will bring it to you a.s.a.p. The menu items will be prepared in a high tech kitchen by real chefs, then delivered to your business or location within minutes by one of ClusterTruck’s numerous contracted drivers. So whereas an individual food truck might never be able to practically deliver to your place of business, ClusterTruck can. It’s almost like a consignment sale: the food truck licenses its menu item(s) to ClusterTruck, then gets paid each time a sale of that item is made. The menu features MANY items developed by food truck owners and licensed to the company, hence the name “ClusterTruck.” Food truck owners will receive a small percentage of each sale. With both office and kitchen space housed in a small commercial building near American Legion Mall, the intention of ClusterTruck is to provide fast delivery of hot meals to a delivery area within a 1-2 mile radius (at least to begin with–think Wholesale District and downtown Indy). I’ve been a big fan of the Indy food trucks for the past seven years this takes THAT concept to a whole new level. If you are not yet familiar with this concept spearheaded by local entrepreneur Chris Baggott, then I feel certain that you will be, because I’m confident that you’ll be hearing a LOT more about ClusterTruck in the coming days and weeks. I felt quite honored and privileged to be present on the inaugural day of this great and promising new meal delivery service! Today was the first day of beta delivery testing for ClusterTruck, a food-tech operation headquartered in downtown Indianapolis.
